Let's start off this article by first judging the Jewish Orthodox community, because the law came from the prophet Moses, a fellow Israelite, from the tribe of Levi. The reason for doing this is because long ago the so-called "Chasidic" or "Hasidic" movement interpreted Leviticus 19:19 that says, "Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material" with the verse found in Deuteronomy 22:11 that says, "You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen together." By doing this they error in their ways and so these erroneously taught brothers and sisters of mine will wear anything mingled except these two combinations because they misinterpret the verse. Even the King James version of Leviticus 19:19 will boldly interpret the verse for you by erasing the actual text and replacing it with the Deuteronomy verse. Well, the FACT of the matter is that Leviticus 19:19 is the standard, not Deuteronomy 22:11. For any layman can figure out that Deuteronomy 22:11 is included with all the combinations you can come up with if you want to mingle different kinds of materials. Thus, you really do not even need to have Deuteronomy 22:11 in the Torah at all, in the first place. For the other verse is pretty easy to understand, especially in the context it is written in. Not for the so-called 'ultra orthodox' however, for they change the commandment of Yehowah for their sages' interpretation! For wool and linen were not the only materials existing when the commands were given, and other materials were being used besides these two when the Israelites came out of Egypt. Cotton and silk and leather were also being used then. And what about today's materials? Now you even have hemp, polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon and a few others. Obviously, these folks are not orthodox at all, rather they are the blind leading the blind in our midst. They must repent and keep the written holy torah!

Now to get back on track.....

When someone makes a garment of one material, this obviously includes the seams. Therefore, do not let store brand clothes deceive you by their tags that might say something like, "100% cotton". The clothing is almost always less than "100%", and therefore, the manufacturers lie. For example, look at Levi's jeans, their seams are polyester not cotton, thus you must not wear these jeans, nor any like them. So, if you are wearing store-bought clothes you have to call the company to find out the truth, for they do not care about the Jewish law because they are a Gentile company. And yes, you will go to hell for wearing the wrong jeans, because the Lord does not obey your personal law or care about your lackadaisical attitude that really has no real heart to do what is right. And so, the saying of Yehoshua stands true that you just love your wicked darkness more than Yehoshua himself if you do not change and obey him and all his righteous laws, and therefore, love him. For, why should he give eternal life to someone who does not love him? And you do not even realize that you do not have the slightest fear of him, even though it is he that will judge you with the law given to Moses at Mt. Sinai. So, therefore, become wise, and honor he and his Father.

Now that we have gotten that established, we need to move on to modesty and what is kosher dress, really?

Remember, we are going by the Lord's standards not human standards. Human standards are not even close to being as high as the Lord's, especially here in the Americas.

Now, even though I mentioned on the page called "Moses' law has been Lost!!!" that the actual law of Moses has been lost, much of those laws were preserved through the Torah you have today, but not all the laws. Well, in the law we have today, you can see a little insight about proper apparel through a commandment given to the priests (or Aaron and his sons.) It is found in Exodus 28:41-42:

41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them,
    and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
42 And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the
    thighs they shall reach:

Now, we all know that the thigh reaches to the top of the knee, and I say this because sinners really do not want to change and they will say, "but it does not say 'where' on the thigh it should reach." For, they do not care about holiness, they just want to hear what they want to hear, not what the Lord says. Sinners often exclaim, "I'm saved by grace and the Lord knows my heart." Well, he sure does know your heart and that you are evil and have no care for him and that you are not saved by some false illusion called 'grace'. For what is the point of having holy living laws if you can enter his kingdom without ever doing them? Don't be deceived!!! What would the point be to have a day of judgment in which all shall and will be judged by the law given at Mt. Sinai? As I mentioned, "Don't be deceived!!!!"

Therefore, you must cover all of your thigh, even while sitting down. I say this because when you sit down your skirt, pants, gown or dress always goes up. It also does this while you are taking long strides in your walk.

Therefore, your clothes must reach your knee, at least, and remain there or just be longer and go past the knee.

Moreover, what does the Lord consider nudity? Yes, even your thigh!!! Far cry isn't it from the obscene culture you are in that just considers your bare buttocks, private parts and breasts your nakedness. So, guess what?

Women must cease to wear bikinis in public, and around males that are not actually their husbands.
Their husband should only see them wearing a bikini or something less than appropriately dressed in private. This would also include not ever letting your son see you in a bikini or less.

By the way, this commandment that I quoted is just dealing with the man, as you can see. It is clear, however, that this part of the body would include the woman as well.

The woman however is commanded to cover everything from her very neck to her knee. Having said this, the man, as mentioned, must be covered from the waist to the knee.

On another note: If you let anyone of the opposite sex see these areas listed above, prior to marriage, you will and shall go to hell.

Now, continuing on with modest clothing...
1.  Your clothes cannot and must not be able to be seen through. What's the point? The point is, that if a woman
    is wearing a shirt and you can see the whiteness of the bra coming through, that shirt is too thin. No one's
    clothing can be see-through.
2.  Your clothes cannot and must not be form fitting or tight. What's the point? You might as well wear paint. The
    point is, your clothes must be loose and not be too tight.
3.  Your clothes that are covering your restricted or private areas must not have any holes in which one could
    see any skin.

You cannot show your nakedness.

4.  And for pure modesty, your clothes cannot be for self-glorification, or to draw attention to yourself. Your
   clothing can be expensive, but not flamboyant. They should always be modest and not worn to draw attention
   to yourself.
5.  Lastly, your clothes must be holy. So, they cannot have foul messages on them. They cannot have crosses,
    the fish symbol, trinitarian stuff/doctrine/trash or political statements regarding Democratic governments or
    governments other than the Torah's theocratic government.

This is what Yehowah commanded in regards to wearing one another's clothing:

Deuteronomy 22
  "5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's
       garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

Therefore, we see, then, that a woman may not go into her husband's closet and get out "his big shirts", nor borrow his "pajama top", etc and put them on, or his socks, because "her feet are cold". Nor can the husband just "borrow his wife's t-shirt, because his is dirty", etc. We can also see how it is commanded by Them to not even wear clothes that "look" like a man's clothing, if you are a woman, and vice versa for a man not dressing like a woman. This does not mean women can not wear pants, as far as we know, they can, but the pants must be kosherly sewn, of one material, loose or baggy and not too tight. (The clothing styles noted above are bordering on too tight. I was hard-pressed to find kosher fits in any clothing I used as an example on this page. I would recommend making clothing looser than noted above,  just to be safe.)

Lastly to make your clothes holy before the Lord, you must have a tassel with a thread of blue on any corner of the garment, as commanded in Numbers 15. It says,

Numbers 15:38-41
   38 Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on
        the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.
   39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of Yehowah, that
       you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
   40 Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
   41 I am Yehowah your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your Elohim. I am the LORD your God.
