What does Yehoshua mean by saying in Luke 14,
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple?" Likewise, does this also apply to wives, since Jesus is taking to men here?
E-Mails, Letters and Questions from Folks
-From a Questioning Visitor
When a nice lady came over to visit me in order to learn, she was wondering how the above verse applies to
her if her husband is head of the house. What she meant was: what if the "what ifs" should come into play. Such as, "Even though the commandments dictate how I must conduct my life, if my husband is over me by commandment also, yet desires me not to do particular commandments, am I free from those commandments because of my husband's authority over me?

With this I am shocked at the mere asking of such a question. Obviously, we can see that this nice lady did not learn anything of truth at the "grace", and Trinitarian churches she has been going to. This is what I would expect from non-torah observant places. Not to sound rude here, I am just being frank or straight-forward, which is how a servant of the Lord must be.

First of all, everyone of everyone must obey the only God, the God of Israel. This obviously includes Jesus, since he is a made being and so not "God" at all. This also includes the cherubs, seraphs, angels, etc. and mankind. Then, to take things further, we all must obey the Father's command of obeying His only son, the prince, that is Jesus. Then after that, our obedience to someone over us all depends on someone's status in life. Regardless of what your status is however, if someone desires you to rebel, or to not obey the son that is over us all, you are sinning against the God of Israel and therefore, shall go to hell. Thus, meaning if whether your husband, parent, ruler (such as a king, president, or governor or slave owner) tells you, or commands you to do something that is contrary to the "prince of peace" and so also the God of Israel, because the Prince of peace only utters what the King of peace says, you must rebel against that person. Because of this rebellion to men, but service to the Lord you might possibly undergo persecution because of it, because you are breaking orders in the chain of command, because of a selfish sinner. Therefore, and in other words, in regards to the verse above, unless you strictly adhere to the commandments of the God of Israel through His son, that son will never accept you as his disciple. It is also because of this chain of command that Yehoshua will never love you if you do not obey the commandments of the God of Israel. For Jesus said, "If you love me, you will obey my commandments."

Thus, if I was not clear in my answer to the opening question, unless you obey Jesus wholeheartedly by obeying all of the Torah and the things that he said, you are simply not his disciple. This is because you choose to be a sinner and follow your own way or someone else's, but it is clear you are not following his. So, may all people obey the Torah that he gave long ago on Sinai for that is the 'will' of the Father or the God of Israel.

On a second note about the verse in question, it is obviously clear Jesus is talking to men in this phrase since the word "wife" is mentioned, but not husband. Thus, to point things out in the verse, a woman cannot 'hate' her wife. But the strict reply remains the same, even if Jesus were to address the women directly, versus the men.

This is the 2nd page of "He Shall Govern.com" in which there are indepth torah studies and bible stories. Likewise, true rederings of either the Hebrew or Greek words and/or verses
(1.) This website tells the truth about the Jewish messiah (moshiach). (2.) That holiness comes through the observance of the full torah and condemns the trinity doctrine, as well as the 'saved by grace' notion taught by Paul [ the FALSE apostle]. (3.) It PROVES that the messiah in NOT God - yet, Yehoshua, is the moshiach, the only begotten son of the only God, the God of Israel !!!
