A Letter to a so-called "Messianic" Website and sect in Canada that claims to be
"Torah observant." This sect or group is called "Beth Haderech" or "BetHaderech." They are located in Toronto, Canada.
Greetings,
This is not meant to sound too scathing, but here is my letter:
Upon looking at your website, I found it "interesting" in a negative sense [by how shocked I became while reading it], not in a delightful or praise-worthy way.
You say, "The biggest question back then [in the first century] was whether Rabbi Yeshua had been sent for the Gentiles also. When God miraculously showed the Messianic Jews that He was the messiah for both Jew and non-Jews alike, then non-Jews from every nation began to pour into this Jewish faith.
Through the years, as the numbers of non-Jews believers increased, they began to predominate in this Messianic Jewish faith. With the passing on of the Jewish s’chlichim (emmisaries) and the early Messianic Jews, the Jewish roots of the faith were eventually lost. This “De-Judaizing” process continued until one of the greatest paradoxes in history...."
Sir, the truth of the matter - which is not given, nor revealed on your website, or possibly, you may not know yourself - is that Paul is the one that started all of this pagan, anti-Judaism non-sense. Have you not read his writings? The "Galatians" turned their back on Paul and started doing the Torah; yet, Paul called down a curse upon all those who taught salvation through Torah observance [Gal 1:8-9]. Furthermore, he was trying to convert them back from following the Torah, thus to abandon it - this was the whole point of the book of Galations. History has not yet revealed their response to Paul's letter, whether they dropped the Torah on account of Paul's wicked teachings or whether they tossed Paul's letter out instead. Have you not noticed that that the 'rumors" James was hearing about Paul preaching against the Torah in Acts 21:20-21 came from "believers," not non-believers. James thought Paul taught the law, but he didn't, he taught against it - you should know this if you read his letters!! James did not know what Paul taught, because they did not have mail, Internet, TV, and Radio back then, thus Paul outright lied to James, so that James would think he "walkest orderly, and keepest the law [Acts 21:24 KJV]." However, the crowds don't buy his non-sense. Neither should you!!! Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Papius, Irenaeus [early church elders, writers and apologists] were Pauline disciples and they condemned the Jewish believers!!! Read their stuff to see the proof. Ignatius taught around 95 CE/AD, he died around 107, so you can see how early on that the vile and wicked Pauline doctrine took hold. Yet, YOU who are claiming to be "Torah observant" quote from Paul's writings [who taught against the practice of following the Torah] - thus you approve of his teachings and, therefore, sin.
You cannot have it both ways, either you have to be pro-Torah or anti-Torah and any foolish person that knows anything about Judaism knows that the moshaich is the crown jewel of promoting and practicing the Torah.
Secondly, why in HaShem's holy name would you dare mention the demonic non-sense of "rabbinical" Jews that mention something like, "the moshiach is a leper" story? These are foolish and demonic tales that must never be said. Moses said that the moshiach would be greater than he, and Moses, by the way, was the greatest prophet that the world has ever seen, even greater than Noah [who was saved from a flood and prophecied such], Enoch and Elijah [who were both taken to heaven because of how holy and righteous they were]. With that being said, if Moses did all these miracles and Eliyahu and Elisha did many in their day, do you honestly think that the moshiach would be a cursed man as a leper? Especially when Jesus said to "heal the sick" and that he "healed" those with leprosy? Why copy such foolish stories to your "Torah-Observant" website? Do you not know that the Torah says, "Do not bear false testimony?"
Third, if you are truly following Jesus as the true moshiach, why do you NOT follow in his footsteps. Yehoshua [Joshua, not Yeshua] condemned "rabbinical Judaism;" yet, your whole website it loaded with "rabbinical" overtones, customs and practices vs. the raw Torah.
Fourth, a person cannot "find" a "what we believe" page on your website. If it is there, please send me the link.
Fifth, answer these two questions:
I will not ask "Do you believe in the virgin birth," because I am afraid of how you will respond; therefore, I will ask my question in this manner. "Do you believe Yehoshua was conceived by Yosef's seed or in a miraculous manner?"
The other question I have is this, "Do you believe this quote, "...and the Word was God [John 1:1]?"
Since I am asking, another question I want you to answer is this: If you believe Yoshua [Joshua] ben Yosef [Joseph] is the promised moshiach, you would then have to believe he was a prophet. Well, according to Deut 18:18-19 it says this, "he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken [heed or obey] My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him." With that being said, you MUST obey all that Yehoshua ever said IF you are going to accept him as this prophet that Deut 18 speaks of. Yet, you sin against him by calling many upon many people on your website "Rabbi," when Yoshua Ben Yosef clearly said in Matthew 23:8, "be not ye called Rabbi, for one is your master, the moshiach." What do you say for yourself about these things?
These questions are posted at:
Sincerely,
Maregaal Ben Yaakov
