If you were to translate the Hebrew word "mal-ach" as 'messenger' instead of 'angel,' which it also means, could Michael be the Jewish moshiach? The reason this is asked is because Michael is known as an "arch-angel" in Jude 1:9 and a "chief prince" over Israel according to Daniel.  For if Michael were to be the chief 'messenger,' instead of the "chief angel" over Israel could he not be the moshiach since the messiah or moshiach is the chief or the number one "messenger" of the God of Israel?
Also, to go along with this set of questions we see in Revelation that Michael has an army and they defeat Satan and his army. So wouldn't this quote-unquote "Michael" clearly be Jesus who must defeat the devil?
