Who is this person that is referred to as "666"? Well, to tell you outright, without going into it in the opening paragraph, he is a so-called, 'orthodox' Jew from one of the Chasidic sects. So, there is no sense in anyone getting into an uproar about any possible "false messiah" until you see a prominent Chasidic Jew in Israel.
Nonetheless, even before this "false messiah" comes on the scene, Daniel prophesied that there must absolutely come first a fourth kingdom that will be greater and mightier than the third kingdom of his two prophecies that are mentioned in Daniel 2 & 7. This third kingdom was that of Alexander the Great. This particular fourth kingdom will conquer all the earth, not just much of it. Therefore, this fourth kingdom was not Rome, as the pagans and ill-informed preachers think, because 1) Rome did not conquer the world, i.e., the Germans and many, many others, 2) nor did the messiah come and crush Rome as is prophesied by Daniel that the messaih would do to the fourth kingdom in Chapter 2 and 7, thus it was not Rome. Here is what Daniel says in Dan 2:
"While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay [being the 10 horns that arise from the fourth beast of Daniel 7, for it is the same prophecy just a different riddle] and smashed them... ...But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth... ...In the time of those kings [the 10-3+1=8 horns], the God [Elah] of heaven will set up a kingdom [for His son] that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."
Moving on with this quick summary: It will only be after that the initial/original ruler of that fourth kingdom's reign is done away with, that this prominent Jewish man shall finally arise.
This evil man or the 'false messiah' was spoken of by the prophet / apostle John in Revelation more than any other author of scripture. Here is a brief insert of what John writes in Revelation 13:17-18,
"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is six hundred threescore and six (KJV)."
Now, the reason I just said, "it will only be after" is because if the prophecy about Alexander is any indicator, we see that the four heads of his prophecy did not come to power until Alexander died. Let's look at Daniel 7:6 for a moment:
"I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule."
These four heads of Alexander were his four generals or officers. Because Alexander did not have any living offspring (because he was slain), a son could not take over his helm, thus his vast kingdom was divided among his officers. Most likely, therefore, in a similar fashion, this shall be the same case with the fourth kingdom, because he has 10 horns which shall replace him as indicated in Dan 7 or ten toes in Dan 2. Thus saying, the great and mighty fourth kingdom will also not be passed on to a son or heir, at least not for long, and then it will be divided. Furthermore, because it is also said by Daniel, regarding the time of these 10 rulers,
"I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it." It is clear that the current State of Israel will cease being a country at the time when this fourth prophesied beast by Daniel starts taking over the world, that is if the 11th horn truly represents a Jewish, yet "false messiah" and ruler of some sort, who will conquer his non-Jewish enemies - the three horns.
Footnote: In case you did not pick it up in Daniel 7, Daniel claims that the 10 horns will be around for awhile or exist for some time prior to the Jewish man comes on the scene and knocks out tree of those 10 rulers. IF such things are true, the true messiah's coming is such a long ways away. Look at the time involved to do all of this!!! Now, because of these given facts and because of this false messiah war that was also spoken of by Daniel, as I just mentioned - this Jewish man will have taken on the persona of being a type of messiah, thus the Jewish people will accept him in being such or anoint him as such if he was simply a zealous Jew. Now, because this Jewish man will have just conquered 3 out 10 kings or rulers, the existing 7 rulers will be intimidated by him and they will want to make a covenant or peace agreement with him. He then will do so for the prophesied seven years. For who else would he (the false messiah) make such agreements with?
Here is what Daniel says in D 9:27 about this 7 year peace agreement:
"He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven [seven years].' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him."
Realize that when this person will "put an end to sacrifice" this has nothing to do with the other rulers that he made a covenant with. Rather, this is strictly what he is doing in his own country and nation.
Before we continue any further let us read the prophecies that Daniel mentioned in Chapter 2 and 7.
Please to do so!!! Thus, in my strong educated opinion - for this is prophecy - the 'mark' will only apply to those people that the "false messiah" is governing over, not anyone else. As American law has no bearing in Iraq and vice versa. Remember therefore, that there will be 7 other rulers besides himself.
This vile Jewish man or 'false messiah' and the last days was also prophesied about by Yehoshua/Jesus in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 12. Now in regards to Daniel 2, in this chapter Daniel simply talks about the 4 great conquers, not what occurs after them, except for the coming of the true moshiach - whom cannot come until the fourth conquer comes first, as his prophecy says. Daniel 7 on the other hand speaks about things in greater detail in regards to what comes after each individual beast. Again, Daniel says in the seventh chapter of his writings that the true messiah will not come until there will be two great wars first. Those two wars are 1) when the fourth beast conquers the world and 2) after the time the fourth beast is done away with somehow or incompasitated and the ten horns take their place, a particular war will occur, that being a Jewish militia will rise and take back the land of Israel which, possibly, the three particular horns were occupying.
Thus, for those that are etting hysterical over present events, I cannot stress enough what I am going to say:
First of all, not until there is this great and mighty kingdom on earth again - that will also be governing ancient Babylon - (as the other three before it did, for that is why the prophetic dream was given to Nebuchadnezzar in the first place, because it was his kingdom. Likewise, he was the first of these four prophetic rulers), and not until the 10 rulers come in his place, then the false messiah then come, Yehoshua will absolutely NOT COME!!! Thus, we have a long, long, long way to go until then, maybe a few decades just to get things rolling for the fourth kingdom to conquer.
Likewise, in regards to the pagan preachers in what they preach, the Messiah will not come again until all these things be fulfilled. This will not occur before they get fulfilled, they need to re-read Daniel 2.
Now let me explain some things for you. In the Hebrew culture and language we do not have numbers that are outright numbers. In Israeli culture our alphabet is also our number system. This is to say, the letter a = 1, b = 2, c = 3 and so on. Thus, when we Jews read that the number of the false messiah's name will be equal to "666", it is clear to us what that means. By this information, the apostle John gives us insight into who that person might be through the book of Revelation.
First of all, the Hebrew system of numbers is not like the English-speaking world's as one might expect. In the Hebrew culture, our letters also equal our numbers. Furthermore, there are only 22 letters in the Jewish alphabet, versus 26 letters in the English alphabet. In this number system, the first 10 letters are 1 through 10, but the next 10 are not 11 through 20, but are 10 through 100. That is to say in the English alphabet, 'K', would be the eleventh letter of the alphabet, but in the Hebrew alphabet, 'K' would be equal to 20, as 'L' would be equal to 30, and so on. When 100 is reached, the first digit changes, thus going from 100 to 200 to 300 to 400. This is when our alphabet runs out of letters, for that would use up all of the 22 letters.
Therefore, when it comes to this man of 666, he could have any combination of letters that could equal 666 to make up his name. Got it? Say, for example, my name was Ab, then the number of my name would be 3, because 1+2=3. That is all that this verse means. There is nothing to interpret about it, unlike what the Gentiles teach, who do not know anything, but decipher the verse falsely. They come up with all sorts of humorous ideas from sku numbers, to computers, to computer chips, to whatever else they can think of that is occurring at the time in history they are referring to. But, the fact of the matter is this, prophecy could have in and of itself been fulfilled even long before Yehoshua was even born, because this man's name, (or any name) has nothing to do with technology! Therefore, when we Jews see this verse we understand it completely, meaning the letters in this wicked man's name will add up to 666.
The truth of the matter about the false messiah is this, apart from this guy's blasphemies against Yehoshua (Jesus), (and so also the God of Yehoshua), he will be more righteous than most 'Christians'. This includes Pentecostals, Baptists for sure, Catholics for sure, Seventh Day Adventists, Lutherans, Methodists, Calvary Chapelists, Jews for Jesus and many others.
You may ask, "How will this guy be more righteous than most other 'Christians'?" This man will obey the law of Moses, that's why! For if you knew Judaism and the law, which you should be doing and keeping, and not believing in this wicked and pagan doctrine called 'being saved by grace,' you would be a little more educated and on the road to salvation. For the whole Torah and the Tanach and the book of Revelation deal with Israel. The scriptures deal with nothing and no one else but Israel, except for other nations occasionally. (Such as: Jonah going to Nineveh, the prophecies regarding Moab through Balaam, or Edom through other prophets, etc....).
The false messiah will be a Jew, not some wicked Catholic guy as so many ignorant people think. For the belief in a "Messiah" is solely of Jewish belief and origin. For other ancient people's faiths were idolatry because they worshipped and served others gods that were simply invented by the ignorant, like the satanic god of the Muslims called Allah, or Baal or Zeus or Oden or Ra or whatever other pagan deity that doesn't even exist. Furthermore, in order for the Torah-observant or at least semi-torah observant people to accept a messiah, that messiah has to be flawless in his torah observance. Moreover, according to the law in Deuteronomy 17, the Jewish people are not allowed to put a king over them unless he is a Jew.
Now, to continue in our study regarding this evil man, many people like I briefly mentioned, think that this person is the head of the Catholic Church in Rome, even John Paul II. Obviously, we can all see that John Paul is now dead. Furthermore, this man will have nothing to do with the Catholic Church, regardless of how vile these people are, because, like I mentioned, he must be Jewish. Likewise, he will not come on the scene until many years from now, and the day I'm writing this is 4/2/2006 (edited last on 3/21/07). The reason for this is because he will be revealed during the last kingdom of Daniel's two prophecies that must still come to pass. For according to Daniel Ch.2 and Ch.7 there must be four particular grand kingdoms. Many people think that the last kingdom was or is Rome, but this is not the case. We can obviously see that the Messiah did not conquer Rome and set up his millennial reign at that time, which is also prophesied. For in order for the prophecies regarding the coming of the Messiah to come to pass, the last grand kingdom of Daniel's prophecy must be existing. This is not occurring at this time, nor has it ever occurred.
Another misconception that people have is that they do not understand the meaning of the scriptures in the first place. So, therefore let me tell you the truth about them. All scriptures have to deal with Israel, like I mentioned, except on rare occasions when the Lord explicitly tells us differently. Now, the Lord gave Nebuchadnezzar a mighty dream during Daniel's day. This dream had to deal with two main things. The first was Israel, and secondly, it dealt with Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom, whose capital was in Babylon, in which a kingdom would rise after him or subdue his kingdom in time. Got it? The two prophecies of Daniel in chapters 2 and 7 deal with two main places, first Israel, then secondly Babylon. Three out of four of those kingdoms that were mentioned in Daniel have already come and gone.
Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom was the first kingdom Daniel mentions in Daniel 2. The second kingdom is Cyrus' kingdom and the third is Alexander "the Great's" kingdom. All three kingdoms dealt with Israel because they all had control over Israel. Secondly, all reigned from Babylon or also had Babylon in their possession.
Daniel also mentions a fourth coming kingdom which shall be the same, dealing with Israel and Babylon. The fourth kingdom that comes on the scene shall be very awful and will take over the whole earth. This king will not just take the region but will also set up 10 governors throughout his kingdom / realm, or these 10 kings or heads shall be given power or come into authority after the main king's death as it did with Alexander the great. Meaning: the four heads or the four wings (of the leopard in Daniel 7 (being Alexander)) were his four generals who came to power after Alexander died. This prophecy of the last beast or ruler also speaks of the downfall of modern Israel, if it does not fall even before this time. Because during the time of this kingdom's reign, the "orthodox' Jew (false messiah) shall be anointed and he will go and conquer three of those ten governors or rulers. Now, understand that the scripture does NOT tell exactly what will take place first regarding this Jewish man. What I mean by this is that a Jewish militia might form first before this 666 man gets 'anointed.' This militia or remnant will conquer their foes and the head of this group or some 'grand' advisor to the group or militia who gave them their insight shall be crowned the Messiah. This man will also 'seem' to have all the aspects of the messiah to the Jewish-ignorant.
This is because he will have just conquered his enemies, thus getting the
land back in own hands and secondly this guy will be 'orthodox.' When I say
'orthodox', I mean according to Chabad Lubavitch and other sects like them.
That is orthodox in eyes, versus what is viewed orthodox in the eyes of the
Lord, obviously. The rest of the remaining governors of this kingdom or realm
will make a treaty with this false messiah, or simply with Israel. This treaty, as
we all know, shall be for 7 years. By the middle of this treaty, we can see, that
the third Temple is already built. Moreover, if this guy is truly 'orthodox' he will
not tolerate a mosque in Jerusalem, especially on the Temple Mount. Therefore,
it is my educational guess that this guy or the people will get rid of the mosque

during the defeat of the 3 governors/rulers/kings. Now, to talk about the treaty

for a moment, during the midpoint of the existence of this treaty, this person

shall really "proclaim" himself as the Messiah. He will do away with the daily

offerings as the Lord commanded and set up an abomination in the temple of

the Living God. Now it is only clear to us Jewish folks that when this guy

appears on the scene, if he is 'orthodox', he will consider the real messiah,

Yehoshua as nothing, and as dirt. Those that serve Yehoshua in his realm of

governing, that is Israel (and not necessarily the whole world - as pagan

preachers think), will be judged as blasphemers. Therefore, the false messiah will make it a standard for the people of Israel that they must put his name on their hand or head for loyalty to him. Those that do not do such will not be permitted to buy or sell in all his territory, that is Israel, not the world.
Now because the followers of Yehoshua will not take this guy's name, that does equal to 666 in its number form, thanks to the Revelation prophecy to warn them, they will be beheaded for their blasphemy, for believing in Yehoshua and not the 666 man. It will not just be beheading however, but all that Revelation talks about, being jailed and tormented and so on. Once the midpoint of this treaty comes and after this guy does away with the daily offerings at the Temple, the wrath days will begin. By the end of those days, the nations will destroy this Temple that got defiled instead of just destroying the 666 man. Because of this, the wrath of the Lord will be flared up against those nations and he will destroy them. Once this occurs, the nations will fear the Lord and rebuild the Temple, thus there will then be a 4th Temple. It is then, during this time of the fourth Temple and after the daily offerings have started again that the Lord will come on the clouds of heaven, thus far past the wrath days. And the people and his people will see the one they pierced long ago and they will realize they were wrong all of this time, and they will mourn and repent. After they have repented and been baptized and have started doing the law, after some days the Lord will reap the righteous of the land, because he is merciful and the believers that have obeyed the law of Moses shall be raptured for a short time. After awhile, they will all come back and the Lord will kill the wicked and the saints will reign with the Lord 1000 years. Then after the 1000 years all the dead shall be resurrected, those that were not resurrected at his coming, that is those that were beheaded. All the dead will be raised, the rest of the righteous along with the wicked, and there will be one last battle. Then, apparently in the midst of the battle fire shall fall down from the heavens and kill the wicked once again. After this, the Lord will resurrect the wicked a second time and he will judge all people with his righteous, holy judgement, and those that have not obeyed the law of Moses, as well as believed in Yehoshua, will not be found in his book. Then, satan and all those people will go to hell forever at that point. They will no longer die, because they will be resurrected forever and that will be their due punishment!!!!
I will write more later, but this will give you a "heads-up" about the many ignorant people that are preaching lies out there, and leading many astray.
Shalom,
Maregaal
